Ψ  Eric Erikson's proposed stage 7. Generativity versus Stagnation (middle adulthood, 40 - 65) - Care / reflectivity - If unresolved: fear of failure.

The importance of work - Work can satisfy generativity needs by allowing people to

•   express their creativity
 •   develop & use their personal skills.
  •   aid & advise coworkers as a mentor & friend.
   •   contribute to the community by providing goods & services.
