•  Before you begin building your web site, follow these steps to control how FrontPage uses platform-specific features. 
You can assume that FrontPage Server Extensions & SharePoint Services will NOT always be available & even if they 
are you may not want to use them. Let's design for Internet Explorer's latest versions as it's the most used in the world & 
most other browsers at least try to achieve compatibility with it. 

1. Choose Tools: Page Options. 
 2. Click the authoring tab to make that group of options available. 
  3. In the FrontPage & SharePoint Technologies section choose none then check the Author-time Web Components box 
and both the Navigation & Shared Borders boxes. 
   4. From the Browsers Version List box choose IE only. 
    5. From the Browsers Version List box choose latest versions.
